Treating depression in alcohol misuse

Alcohol misuse and depression commonly occur together.1,2 Compared with either condition alone, having both can lead to worse outcomes, including poorer adherence to medication and an increased risk of suicide.3,4 Here we focus on the treatment of unipolar depression in people who misuse alcohol.
